The Friends of Carroll ISD Know:
*The district is currently overcrowded at 4 campuses- JES, OUES, EIS, and DIS. Three more are currently at or
approaching maximum capacity. Projections show that even with minimal growth, 9 of 11 CISD campuses will be overcrowded in the very
near future.
*The district’s technology is obsolete. A technology assessment revealed that
on a current four tier rating scale of technological capabilities and infrastructure in educational environments,
Carroll ISD did not even qualify for the lowest tier ranking.
*Extracurricular activities are essential elements of a well rounded and
academically rewarding education, and over 85% of CISD students participate in activities such as band, art, music,
and athletics. However, the district’s current extracurricular facilities are outdated and do not meet the needs of
our students.
*An expansion at Dragon Stadium provides an optimal location to house the
district’s needed disaster recovery center. Revenue generated from ticket sales, concessions, and marketing opportunities
at the stadium flows directly to the M & O budget and is free from recapture (Robin Hood).

*We believe in our students, we believe in our community, and we believe in voting yes on the current bond propositions.
